Glivent answers
How does Glivent decide what data can be used with AI?
Direct Answer
Glivent assesses the task and the information together. The decision considers why the data is needed, how sensitive it is, who can access it, where it will be processed, what is retained and whether the chosen model can perform reliably.
Start with the purpose
The question is not simply whether a file contains personal information. Glivent first asks what the workflow needs to achieve and whether every field is necessary for that task.
Define the data path
The design records where information enters, which system or model processes it, what leaves the business and what is stored. Access and retention are agreed rather than inherited from whichever tool happens to be convenient.
Use less data where possible
The workflow may remove fields, use a smaller approved extract or keep a sensitive step onsite. If the task does not need AI, ordinary rules can avoid sending the information to a model at all.
